How it works

Four steps, and then it is out of your hands

A few minutes once. After that the booking arrives, the calendar entry appears, and the reminders go out.

Set up

Tell it when you actually work.

Weekly hours in your own zone, with as many ranges a day as you need. Buffers, a minimum notice, and how far ahead people may book.

They see genuine availability in their own zone, answer your questions, add guests — and the slot is held.

It runs itself

The paperwork happens without you.

Confirmations go out with a calendar attachment, and reminders are queued for a day and an hour before.

  • Confirmation, reschedule and cancellation emails
  • Reminders at 24 hours and 1 hour
  • Invitees can reschedule or cancel themselves

One link per kind of meeting

The link plus everything that governs it: how long, where, who may book, and what you want to know first.

One-on-one books you and one person. Group takes a set number into the same slot and counts the spots down.

Rotate across whoever is free, or require several colleagues on one call. The engine handles both; the screen that creates them is not built.

Set the length, plus a separate start-time grid if you want one. Padding either side, and a minimum notice so nothing lands in ten minutes.

Google Meet makes a unique link per booking. Or in person, a phone call either direction, or your own URL.

Seven question types, any of them required. Name and email are always asked.

Bookings can arrive pending for you to accept. Cap how many land in a day, or hide the link and share it privately.

Availability

The hours behind every link

One editor decides when anything can be booked. Event types point at a schedule rather than carrying their own copy.

More than one range a day where you need it — mornings and late afternoons, but not the middle. Copy a day across in one click.

Date override · Mar 24 is blocked all day

Working hours, evening office hours — each with its own zone. Every event type points at whichever one applies.

Block a date, or give it different hours, without touching the weekly pattern.

Hours are stored as minutes from local midnight, so 9am is still 9am on the far side of a clock change.

Booking page

The page you hand to other people

No account, no download, no app to install. A calendar, the times you are genuinely free, and a short form.

A whole month is fetched at once, so moving between them is instant. Slots are your schedule minus buffers, notice, and anything booked.

Times are shown in the visitor's zone, with a picker. Nobody does the arithmetic and nobody turns up an hour out.

Name and email, then whatever you added. Guests come along as real attendees, not a note in a field.

Add-to-calendar and a downloadable .ics straight away. If it still needs approving, it says so.

Reschedule and cancel are links in the email. A cancellation carries its reason to everyone on the booking.

Notifications

The part you would otherwise forget

Confirmations, reminders, reschedules and the calendar entry — kept in step without you touching them.

Both sides get mail with a real calendar attachment. Every invitee gets their own invite identity.

Moving or cancelling tells everyone, and updates the calendar entry instead of leaving a stale one behind.

Bookings are written to your calendar, and your existing events are read back as busy.

A previews screen renders every message the system sends, so you can read the real thing.

Under the hood

Scheduling is mostly edge cases

Anyone can draw a calendar. The work is in two people clicking the same slot in the same second.

Tue 17 Mar · your day

2:00 – 2:30 booked2:15 – 2:45 rejected
EXCLUDE USING gist (
  tstzrange("startTime", "endTime", '[)') WITH &&,
  "userId" WITH =
)

Two people clicking the same slot at the same moment is settled by Postgres, not by application code that hopes it got there first.

Integrations

Two connected today, four with a date on them

Connected calendars are read for conflicts and written to when a booking lands. Anything unbuilt says so, here and in the app.
